“America made me fat!” and other global weight warnings


I’m sure you have all heard time and time again that the American diet is responsible for  the overwhelming obesity problem we have here and elsewhere. Yes, we know that. But did you know that while we were busy getting bigger that the rest of the world was dealing with their own eating disorders? According to a survey sponsored by Reader’s Digest which polled 16 countries, China consumes most of the diet pills in the world, Brazilians feel tremendous pressure to be thin and France blames American cuisine for it’s national weight gain  (mais non)! The survey goes on to reveal that  along with using smoking as a dieting tool Russians blame their genes for their body size more than any other country.
